Rear 235kW permanently synchronous electric motor

Smooth, quiet and rich in torque, the EQE 320+ Sedan is powered by an advanced 215kW electric motor that can send up to 315 hp and 416-ft of torque to the rear wheels. The "permanently excited synchronous motor" (PSM) features permanent magnets to generate AC current with high power density and efficiency. An advanced cooling system helps maintain consistent response during spirited driving and a wide range of climates.

Intelligent Energy Recovery with paddles

Paddles on the steering wheel let you vary the intensity of energy recuperated by deceleration and braking during normal driving. Three levels of recuperation are selectable: normal, increased (which can allow one-pedal driving), and none (effectively coasting when you let off the driving pedal). A "D Auto" setting can activate the intelligent ECO Assist feature.

DYNAMIC SELECT

A multimode drive program selector on the console lets you transform the car's character with the flip of a switch. Three modes (ECO, Comfort and Sport) alter the drivetrain response, steering effort, and available AIRMATIC^® suspension. A fourth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own.

Advanced 96-kWh EV battery

Advanced battery technology in the EQE offers significantly higher energy density. The high-voltage battery's energy content of 96 kWh is managed by innovative software, developed by Mercedes-Benz, that can be updated over the air, without a dealer visit, to help maintain its performance throughout its long lifespan.

The EQE is designed to cheat the wind, not your eyes. Countless aero details of its "one bow" body shape help to cut drag and wind noise, particularly important in an electric car. But stylish elements reward your glance, like a grille that's radiant with tiny Stars.

Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling. Dual interior power shades with controls allow the driver and each rear passenger to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.

LED headlamps and taillamps

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, multi-element LED headlamps can enhance both vision and visibility during nighttime driving. LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and all other front light functions are integrated with the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making the design as appealing as it is illuminating. The taillamps feature a full-width LED accent with a distinctive helix effect.

Front-cabin wireless charging with NFC pairing

Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology allows wireless charging of a compatible phone or other device that supports the Qi standard. An inductive charging tray in the front-cabin console lets you charge your device's battery while you drive without plugging it in.

Dual-zone automatic climate control

Separate left and right digital temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system senses humidity and windshield fogging. An integrated filtration system helps remove dust, pollen and even odors from the cabin air. And dual solar sensors can team with GPS data to adjust for the angle of the sun, helping keep cabin temperature consistent.

Energizing seat kinetics

Selectable via MBUX is a program that can minutely adjust the seat cushion and backrest, as well as the multicontour lumbar supports, on an ongoing basis while you drive. The virtually imperceptible adjustments can help reduce driving fatigue based on a patented algorithm.

Steering wheel with Touch Control Buttons

Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. Finger-sensitive buttons access features like audio, Bluetooth^® and cruise control. Four smartphone-like pads offer direct control of countless cockpit features. The upper touchpads operate the menu screen in the gauge cluster or the central multimedia display. Larger, lower touchpads let you vary your cruising speed or adjust the audio volume, all with your hands on the wheel.

Surround View System

The advanced Surround View System uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single, live overhead view of your immediate surroundings. Displayed on the central in-dash screen during low-speed maneuvers, it can help you avoid obstacles as you negotiate tight spaces, whether you're moving forward or backing up.

PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist

Active Parking Assist can search for suitable parallel or perpendicular parking spaces to either side as you drive by. Choose a space to pull or back into, and it can expertly shift, steer and brake for you. When it's time to leave, it can also steer you back out. In any low-speed maneuver, PARKTRONIC sensors in the front and rear bumpers help detect nearby objects within their field of view. Audible signals and illuminated displays in the cabin help you navigate tight spaces with confidence.

Front and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert w/pedestrian detection and automatic braking

Using the ultrasonic sensors of Active Parking Assist and multiple cameras, this system can help audibly and visually alert the driver to approaching cross-traffic or pedestrians when backing or pulling out of a parking space at low speed. Especially helpful if your view is obstructed by vehicles or structures, the system can also apply the brakes. The sensors can also help detect if the driver has engaged the wrong gear or pedal for exiting a confined space.

Blind Spot Assist

When traveling above approximately 20 mph, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then alert the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. An audible warning sounds if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot.
