A 302-hp 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine features numerous AMG enhancements for instant response. Rapid-multispark ignition and high-pressure Direct Injection team with a liquid-cooled turbo to put its 295 lb-ft of torque on tap at just 3,000 rpm, and deliver 60 mph just 5.4 seconds. New 48-volt architecture and a belt-driven Starter-Generator can supply up to 13 hp for added response on demand. Beneath its red-striped engine cover, a lightweight diecast-alloy block, variable valve timing and reduced friction further raise efficiency and performance.

Hybrid Starter-Generator

Electrifying the handcrafted inline-4 gasoline engine is an innovative belt-driven Starter-Generator (RSG). It can generate a brief burst of 13 additional, gas-free horsepower, for even more enthusiastic yet efficient response. It also teams with the car's 48-volt electrical architecture to support gliding, recuperation and stop/start functions to seamlessly enhance efficiency.

AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8-speed dual-clutch transmission

The new 8-speed DCT combines racing-derived dual-clutch design with AMG SPEEDSHIFT^® technology. Able to change gears faster than a human can shift a traditional manual gearbox, its shift paddles and rev-matched downshifts provide instant response. In addition to a Manual mode and RACE START launch function, the various modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT offer distinctive accelerator and gearshift characteristics. Carbon fiber friction linings optimize the response and durability of its fast-acting synchros.

AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive

AMG Performance 4MATIC^® all-wheel drive is cleverly integrated with the gearbox, for class-leading lightness. A multiplate clutch in the rear differential instantly varies the torque split between the front and rear axles. Cornering agility is further enhanced by 3-stage ESP^® and torque-vectoring ESP Dynamic Cornering Assist. From more confident cornering to more capable handling in any season, on any road, it's all-wheel drive of a higher order.

LED headlamps and taillamps

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, multi-element LED headlamps can enhance both vision and visibility during nighttime driving. LED Daytime Running Lamps and front turn signals are integrated within the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making the design as appealing as it is illuminating. The all-LED taillamps feature a three-dimensional design with a distinctive family resemblance.

Panorama roof

Offering sweeping skyward views to both 1st- and 2nd-row passengers, this giant, fully functional glass sunroof features a large panel that can tilt up for ventilation or slide back for an open-air feeling. A power interior shade lets occupants vary the amount of sunlight entering the cabin, and you can even open and close it using the car's advanced voice control system.

A memory system for each front seat recalls three stored seat positions with the touch of a button. The driver-seat memory also includes the side mirror positions. Standard heating with automatic timed step-down adds soothing, controlled comfort in cool weather.

64-color LED ambient lighting with illuminated vents

A network of LEDs let you create cabin ambience to suit your mood. Edge-lighting outlines the dash/door trim and console, while casting a glow in the chrome-ringed dash vents, footwells, door handles and door pockets. Along with 64 selectable colors, three cabin zones and adjustable brightness, you can also enjoy two colors at once, and either static or slowly changing hues. A "light show" greets your arrival, while the dash vent lighting briefly acknowledges your climate-control adjustments.

Outside temperature display

A digital readout in the instrument cluster shows the outside temperature as measured by a sensor in the front of the vehicle. It's especially useful in helping you keep aware of temperatures that could cause the road surface to freeze.

Heated power side mirrors

Power adjustment makes it easy to set the side mirrors for your optimum view. Automatic heating helps disperse mist or frost from their lenses in poor weather.
