Starting MSRP $133,300
Twin turbos, nested in the "hot V" of the engine to virtually eliminate lag, boost the new direct-injected 4.0L biturbo V8 of the S 560 to 463 hp. With a new 9-speed transmission, it can whisk you to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
Swifter, smoother and more versatile, the 9G-TRONIC transmission offers quicker takeoffs, quieter cruising, and more seamless acceleration in between. Shift paddles on the steering wheel keep sporty control at your fingertips.
A multimode drive program selector on the console lets you transform the car's character with the flip of a switch. Four modes (Comfort, ECO, Sport and Sport+) alter the throttle response, shift points and steering effort, and ECO Start/Stop. A fifth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own, even letting you set the transmission for purely manual shifting.
AIRMATIC® suspension balances comfort and cornering with computer-controlled air springs. It can self-level for as loads vary, adapt as roads vary, and let you change modes from supple to sporty whenever your moods vary.
Bold and muscular yet flowing, the sporty standard lower bodywork looks as if was sculpted as much in the gym as in the wind tunnel. Large mesh air intakes underscore the wide, slatted grille with its integrated Star. Chrome details add subtle highlights to the car's athletic shape.
Crisp, bold and sporty 17-inch alloy wheels feature five sets of thin spokes with a shimmering machined finish and grey-painted inlays. They're outfitted with all-season Extended Mobility tires.(Models with Extended Mobility tires are not provided with a spare tire.)
Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling. Dual interior power shades with controls allow the driver and each rear passenger to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.
A reward for admiring eyes, the S-Class Cabriolet body is barely noticed by the wind. Aerodynamic refinement enhances handling, efficiency and comfort. Even with the top down, standard AIRCAP® helps keep the cabin calm and quiet.
No car inspires the industry with innovation like the S-Class. Which means the four individually contoured seats of an S-Class Cabriolet give you a front-row, open-air, all-access pass to technologies you won't find anywhere else under the sun.
A network of LEDs can create not just a soothing ambience in the cabin, but one you can alter to suit your mood, or even create one. Edge-lighting glows at three levels: beneath the "waveform" dash and door trim, behind the in-dash screens, and in the footwell. Along with 64 selectable colors, three cabin zones and adjustable brightness, numerous programs let you adapt the atmosphere with two colors at once or slowly changing colors that can also tie into the Energizing Comfort Control feature.
A production-car first, Energizing Comfort Control coordinates the climate control, Air Balance fragrance, ambient lighting, audio system, and even the available massaging driver seat and heated armrests. The driver can select from a range of 10-minute programs such as Freshness, Vitality or Comfort, and enjoy physical benefits accompanied by harmonious cabin lighting and music. Five music tracks are included, or it can select music from your own connected device by anaylzing its tempo.
All new Mercedes-Benz vehicles are protected by our New Vehicle Limited Warranty, covering defects in material or workmanship for 48-months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. For added protection, the Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty offers continued peace of mind with prolonged coverage tailored to your needs.
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.
Pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, active LED headlamps generate light that's perceived much like natural daylight. Active Curve Illumination and Adaptive Highbeam Assist continuously vary the beam pattern of the LEDs in each headlamp to help maximize the illumination of corners and straightaways, without creating glare for other drivers. A new Ultra Wide Beam feature further extends the illumination range of the high beams to better illuminate the road and the environment along either side
At most driving speeds, radar technology helps sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. An icon illuminates in the appropriate side mirror to alert the driver of a detected vehicle. The system also gives an audible warning if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected.
Active Parking Assist searches for suitable parallel or perpendicular parking spaces to either side as you drive by. Choose a space to pull or back into, and it can expertly shift, steer and brake for you. When it's time to leave, it can also steer you back out. In any low-speed maneuver, sensors in the front and rear bumpers help detect nearby objects within their field of view. Audible signals and illuminated displays in the cabin help you navigate tight spaces with confidence.
