4MATIC all-wheel drive

In any season, on any road, 4MATIC all-wheel drive adds to your confidence and control. Lightweight, nimble, this advanced generation of 4MATIC was developed to offer variable torque distribution to the front and rear axles. Continually monitoring for wheel slip, it can instantly send up to 50 percent of the engine's torque output to the rear wheels in response to changing driving conditions.

ECO Start/Stop system

An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

2.0L inline-4 turbo engine with mild hybrid drive

Mild hybrid electrification advances the 221-hp 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine. Its 48-volt architecture and a belt-driven Starter-Generator allow fuel-free coasting, and can recapture energy during deceleration. It can also supply up to 13 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque for added response on demand. And the gasoline engine is further enhanced with a more efficient turbocharger, CAMTRONIC variable valve lift, and friction-reducing CONICSHAPE cylinders with NANOSLIDE walls.

Comfort suspension

Engineered to balance quick-witted responsiveness with quiet refinement, the 4-wheel independent suspension features a combination of MacPherson struts and wishbones up front, with a four-link design at the rear. The wide, low grille leans slightly into the wind. The iconic Star is centered in a single crossbar, finished in gloss black and inlaid with chrome. The grille's texture features a three-dimensional Star motif expressed in glistening chrome.

AMG body styling

An aggressively sculpted front air dam, flared side sills and deep rear valance team with 18-inch AMG wheels for an aggressively sporty appearance. The front apron features a black splitter and matte black aero elements to guide air to the running gear and around to the shapely side sills. Dual-zone automatic climate control

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 5 microns from entering the cabin. Five adjustable vents in the dash and a pair of rear-cabin air vents help maintain passenger enjoyment throughout the cabin.

8 air bags

An advanced system of 8 air bags offers 10-way occupant protection. Standard are dual two-stage front air bags, combined thorax/pelvic bags, and knee air bags for the driver and front passenger, plus side curtain air bags for both seating rows. Rearview camera

Antitheft alarm system with remote panic feature

The standard antitheft alarm system is armed automatically when you lock your Mercedes from the outside. It can sound the horn and flash the exterior lights if a door, the trunk or the hood is opened without first unlocking the vehicle. You can also sound the alarm by pressing the red “panic” button on your SmartKey remote when you're within range of your vehicle.
